Made with care

Each piece is made with utmost care and respect in my studio in Edinburgh

Inspired by nature

My designs incorporate natural elements symbolising the enduring nature of love and the possibility connection to other worlds.

Rainbow Bridge

A tiny amount of your loved one’s cremation ashes safely encased in a handmade glass rainbow.

An ancient symbol of a bridge between worlds, the rainbow alludes to the enduring nature of love and connection and through time. This kiln formed glass piece casts colourful diffractions of light over surfaces when placed in direct sunlight. It is a popular option as a memorial for pets, children, free spirits or anyone who simply loves rainbows.

Pocket Pebble

A tiny amount your loved one’s ashes safely encased in a handmade glass pebble, small enough to carry with you.

Inspired by the smooth pebbles and rocks I like to pick up from rivers and beaches, this glass comfort pebble is hand-crafted to resemble a river-worn rock. Just as flowing water softens the roughest edges over time, may this little glass stone offer you a reminder that grief, too, can soften in time.

These pebbles are popular with those who want a simple and discreet option they can keep close at all times.

Frequently asked questions

How are cremation ashes encased in glass?

The glass is heated to high temperatures (around 800 degrees Celsius ) until it becomes molten and flows, surrounding and safely encasing your ashes. The glass then goes through a controlled cooling process (annealing) to ensure the final piece is strong and stable.

Can you encase hair/fur/whiskers?

Unfortunately not, as these will burn out at the high temperatures required to fuse glass.

how much ash is needed?

Only a very small amount is used in the creation of my glass keepsakes - by incorporating only a very fine sprinkling of ashes, I create a visible sparkle in the glass, whilst still maintaining the vibrancy and translucency of glass. The remainder of ashes not used in your items will be returned to you.

How long does it take?

As soon as I receive your ashes I will start working on your order. Different items may require different amounts of time in the kiln, but turnaround time after I receive your ashes is usually under a week. If you are buying for a gift and you need it by a certain date, please do check with me before ordering.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free within the UK.
